Five Chinese lacquered and parcel gilt carved wooden figuresprobably 19th century, comprising two figures of seated dignitaries, the larger holding a sceptre, 13«in. (34.3cm.) high; the other with scratched inscription to the back, 'Col. W Shipsey 1931' and similar painted inscription to base, 8«in. (21.5cm.) high; together with a pair of similar figures of court attendants, 8in. (20.25cm.) high; and a seated figure of Guanyin, on a lotus flower stool, 6óin. (17.1cm.) high. (5)
