A rare, authentic Ottoman Mauser M1903 bayonet with original scabbard, datedv1907/08 (Islamic year 1325) during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1876-1909), the last Sultan to rule with absolute power. Totally original full length, not broken and resharpened!
PROVENANCE: We understand the item was used in the defence of Gallipoli (1915-1916) and was purchased in
1998 in Sydney Australia, by the father of the vendor.
