Tales of the R.I.C. Anonymous Published by William Blackwood and Sons, Edinburgh & London, 1921. these stories from the West of Ireland have long been considered an apologia by the Royal Irish Constabulary in the propaganda war that accompanied the Irish Revolution. An important source, and rather scarce, that originally appeared as a series in "Blackwood's Magazine." The author has now been identified as Major Aubrey Waithman Long, Governor of Belfast Prison at the time.
