A 19th Century French octagonal fire brigade award medal of two classically dressed figures near a burning building, one reclining and one holding a standard named M.A.C J above a panel IGNIVM.DAMNA.RESARGIT, the reverse dated 1817-1847 within a laurel border, and a similar medal with Britannia type standard over LA FRANCE, the reverse dated 1837 below Compagnie D'Assurance Contre L' Incendie A Paris.
