WW2 Showa Period Japanese Army Officer’s Sword

A good quality clean example. The 26 inch long single edged curved blade with tang bearing maker’s stamps indicating Koaisshin Mantetsu. The hilt complete with military fittings. Housed in original military scabbard with original painted finish (99%). GC

Koaisshin Mantetsu swords were of good quality made in Mancuria under Japanese Occupation. The interpretation of the markings on the tang are supplied by the vendor. Potential buyers should satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the interpretation before bidding.
