Japanese Imari dish, late Edo (1603-1868), decorated with a pavilion, rock and prunus blossom landscape in traditional palette, 29cm diameter, together with a 19th Century mahogany and inlaid plate stand, width 28cm
Condition is generally good. There is some wear to the gilt details at the centre of the plate. There is also ahidden firing crack in the centre (see image). Slight rubbing and some glaze imperfections at the edge of the plate. No further damage detected. The plate stand that comes with the lot has some minor knocks and scrapes consistent with use and age and is of a later date to the plate.
