Straightliner Yamaha FJ1200.
Little is known of the history of this machine, it is believed to have first been created in the late 1980's but by August 2010 it was in the hands of Martin Joy from Midhurst running a Yamaha XS1100 engine with nitrous injection. It was capable of 0 - 100 mph in less than 4 seconds! He had two pilots for it; Tom Branston from Stedham and Steve Pooley from Heyshott at places like RAF Odiham and Thorney Island.
In 2013 he sold the XS engine and put in the current FJ1200 engine, still with the nitrous and an airshift 6 speed gearbox; it ran at Santa Pod in March of 2014.
Our vendor purchased it in 2015 without the nitrous and entered it for York raceway meet on the 12th May in 2016 and having successfully completed the 1/4 mile and came off in the run out area due to the uneven surface. Damage was minimal to the bike, the nearside rear peg snapped off and it fires up easily. Prospective buyers should complete safety checks before use. Sold with no paperwork except for internet print offs.
