A late 19th or early 20th century Chinese dragon robe, late Qing dynasty, embroidered with gilt and coloured silk threads on a red ground with a design of ten front facing and side profile dragons amongst formations of stylised flames and clouds scattered with other auspicious symbols over the terrestrial diagram of mountains, waves, peony sprays and deep diagonal lishui (sea-waves) hem to/w a pleated silk multi-coloured apron skirt embroidered with flowers and two (one black and one purple) satin Manchu court officials hats with plaited pigtail queue
