After Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792), mezzotint by Thomas Watson (1743-1781) "Mrs Crew" the portrait of Lady Crewe (1748-1818) a high society women of renowned beauty who moved in political circles, portrayed here as St Genevieve reading a book surrounded by lambs in a rural setting. The engraving bears her name lower middle, the engravers and Reynold's names lower right and the publishers Samuel Hooper and Walter Shropshire lower left, published c1773, Bond Street, London, plate 46.5cm x 47.5cm, in a finely carved frame (E) £150-200
