A CHARLES II WALNUT ARMCHAIR 17TH CENTURY AND LATER, having a pierced cresting carved with an eagle with outstretched wings flanked by armorini and foliate scrolls, above a caned panel and foliate frame, barley twist uprights, cane seat, foliate carved arms and frame, conforming front stretcher on barley twist and square framing, 117cm high. Back seat rail has a break at the left just before upright.
Old worm in feet, stretchers and seat rail.
Rounded feet possibly later but have age.
Re-caned.
