R.M.S. TITANIC: One of the most complete archives relating to the launch of the Titanic known, an extremely rare ticket for the launch of the White Star Royal Mail Triple Screw Steamer Titanic at 12.15pm on May 31st 1911, printed on a pink card with raised Burgee. The ticket was found and retained by the family of long time Harland & Wolff employee William Johnson and discovered during the clearance of the effects of a deceased family member, it is assumed Mr Johnson used the ticket himself. The lot is sold with a certified copy of his marriage certificate, a photograph of his wife and other associated paperwork. 4½ins. x 3ins.
