AN EXCEPTIONAL PAIR OF GEORGE III IRISH SILVER ENTRÉE DISHES, the dish and lids with a scallop shaped edge finished with a beaded trim, Dublin hallmarks to the dishes, with maker’s mark for Gustavus Bryne, and a date letter of ‘H’ for 1804. The most attractive part of the dishes are the detachable handles, they come in the form of a hand that is gripping a snake that curves around to create the handle, fantastic workmanship has gone in to creating them; they have a separate set of hallmarks; also Irish, Dublin, with a date letter of ‘e’ for 1850 and maker’s mark present.
