A Victorian enamel cross fleury with a diamond-studded serpent necklace, composed of a cobalt blue enamelled cross, with rose-cut diamond accents to terminals of each arm, the centre of the cross has entwined with a bejewelled serpent with red cabochon eyes and a forked tongue, scrollwork engravings on the reverse, to an enamelled loop bail, suspending on a cable chain, with guilloche enamel and hardstone bead intervals, secured by a spring-ring clasp; pendant unmarked, measures 5.0 x 3.1 cm; chain marked as '15', 59.5 cm in length, total weight of item 12.8 grams.
