AN 1827 PATTERN RIFLE OFFICERS SWORD AND SCABBARD.
With an 83cm curved blade with double edged spear point and partial fuller, etched with Rifles suspended bugle and VR monogram and Crown, the back decorated with a long arrow, with a brass Proof mark of Robert Mole of Birmingham. The broad pierced steel guard with a further bugle slung beneath a crown, stepped oval pommel and fish skin grip bound with wire. The scabbard with twin ring suspension, 100cm overall.
