1st (Carlisle) Cumberland Rifle Volunteer Corps Victorian forage cap badge circa 1860-87. Good scarce die-stamped white metal crowned strung bugle; 1 over CRV cypher between the strings to voided centre, Toned loops. VGC Formed 15th February, 1860 at Carlisle. Following consolidation in 1880, became part of 1st (Cumberland) VB Border Regt. in December 1887. Provenance. Ex Hugh King Collection, Bosleys
