A Samson porcelain ormolu-mounted bird candlestick, 19th century, composed of a porcelain bird standing on a flowering trunk, resting on a rocaille gilt bronze base to flowering branches, shaped foliate drip pan and nozzle, bird with gold anchor mark, 8 5/8in. (22cm.) high.
*Condition: The birds left wing with missing tip, flowering trunk snapped off at tip, leaves and flowers with nibbles, one flower head detached.
