A GEORGIAN GENTLEMAN'S WALKING CANE, early 19th century, the bone handle carved as a begging dog with brown and opaque white glass eyes, fixed onto a tapering hardwood shaft with wavy bone inlay and metal tip, dog 3 3/4" high, 36" long overall (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)

A little splitting to base on which the dog is sitting but otherwise dog is good, his colour has a pierced loop - probably for a hanging loop(?). Shaft lacks quite a lot of inlay
