An early-20th century milliner's hat stretcher/block, standing approximately 34cm in height
The block is functional, expanding and contracting smoothly, though with a little resistance in the crank. There is widespread surface wear, with losses to the varnish and paint residue covering much of the block. Size indicator panel is warped and worn almost to the point of illegibility. Some surface rust to metal components. Splits and losses to the block. Crank mechanism is marked "No. 2 Kingfisher Leeds, Made in England"
