OCEAN LINER: A segment of a link from the stern anchor chain of the Queen Elizabeth 2. The link was found to be damaged when the chain was examined while the vessel was in drydock at Bremerhaven in Nov/Dec 1983. The segment is mounted on a wooden base with a brass plaque. Copies of some documentation associated with the anchor chain is included. Plus a framed print of Sir Samuel Cunard believed to have been copied from an oil painting dated 1859. From the collection of Commodore R. W. Warwick. Overall measurement 16ins x 20ins.
