A brass 7 1/1/2 inch bevel gear recovered from the Ocean Steamship Company (Liverpool) steamship SS 'Calchas', stamped 'SS Calchas, sunk 1917' . *Notes- On a voyage from New York to Liverpool SS Calchas was torpedoed by U-80 five miles from Tearaght Island on the 11th May, 1917. The wreck was discovered in 1950 by Risdon Beazley and some salvage undertaken.
