Set of six william IV mahogany side chairs with carved bar backs and shaped mid rails, with upholstered drop in seats, on tapering reeded front legs with sabre back legs, 86 x 50cm
These chairs have some issues with cracking in the centre back rails. The legs all seem structurally sound when sat on. There is general wear and scratches commensurate with age, and the front corner of the chairs and the feet are noticeably worn.
Chair 1: There appears to be a repaired crack to the centre back rail.
Chair 2: Back rail is cracked, with evidence of an old glue repair.
Chair 3: There is some movement of the top rail. Some evidence of a repaired crack in the centre back rail.
Chair 4: Back centre rail has been obviously repaired.
Chair 5: No obvious structural issues.
