A rare Derby white glazed porcelain posey holder in the form of a toad, Sampson Hancock period. Modelled in the style of a Japanese water dropper. Marked S and H with crown and crossed batons in underglaze blue beneath. 5 cm height, 7 cm length.
Condition report: Some surface wear with age and bearing a hairline crack to hind section as illustrated.
