English Cello, circa 1790 length of back 75.3cm, red brown varnish, restoration, with Schuman carbon bow in soft leather case
Table – Overall ok considering age and use. Slight chip of treble lower corner, minor surface blemishes. – no sign of restoration around post / bridge area
Back- Various cracks, some, open and in need of further restoration. Neck been out, some slight illegible stamp on button.
Ribs- Various restored cracks, and blemishes, one piece rib at bottom.
Varnish- overall rich red varnish with some craquelling.
