A PRESENTATION TRUNCHEON, the inscription reading ‘The Precincts of Dissolved Monastery’ with GR cipher and coats of arms and a pair of Victorian cast iron wrist manacles.

Truncheon in reasonable to fair condition with overall denting and marks as to be expected. The paint is fair but has suffered greatly from shrinkage probably due to the bitumen content in the original paint. As a result there is overall craquelure. The original has gone dark brown.
