A rare Chinese blue and white miniature porcelain vase, probably late 19th century. Of compressed ovoid form with a tall neck applied with zoomorphic handles, a pale celadon glazed band to the rim and supported on an underglaze blue dentil decorated octagonal foot. Finely painted in underglaze blue with two figural scenes, one side depicting a scene of the Emperor of China with an attendant situated on a garden terrace beneath a pine tree with the other side depicting a figure on a hillside decanting a double gourd vase. Six character Imperial Qianlong reign mark in zhuanshu script beneath. 5 in (12.6 cm) height.
