Renault 1905 - 1939. A highly significant archive of pictorial postcards and photographs reflecting the manufacturing output of the company, all secured in nine thick folders. The veteran period separates the small and larger horse-power cars into two folders, with well-defined street scenes, promotional images and coach-built cars, including Rothschild, Leffroy, Cockshoot, Riguel and others, most with manuscript or typed captions verso. The Edwardian files feature many full-plate coach-built images, some laid to card, others copy photographs, but good examples. The 1920s and 1930s folders are equally fascinating with featured body-styles on various chassis, Stella, Billebault, Saoutchik, Kellner, and others. Included are Concours d 'elegance events. Also Included is a folder with Renault dating data, chassis numbers and more. An archive representing a lifetime's endeavour. (10)
