1796 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword and leather scabbard, 70% blade ornately decorated and retaining most of original blue and gilt decoration which includes trophy of arms, crown/GR cypher etc, gilt knucklebow, shell guards, one of which folds down, silver wire grip, urn pommel, with original red and gold sword knot. Leather scabbard with gilt brass locket, band and chape, locket engraved in script "Honor Departalworth, He was a Man, Imitate Him," old leather band repair towards bottom of scabbard, also with leather hanger buckle and clip (this in 2 pieces), sword is nearly extremely fine, scabbard is fair. WILL NOT BE POSTED OVERSEAS. (See photo) (B)
