LARGE MEISSEN PORCELAIN GROUP - LESSONS IN LOVE. A large 19thc group titled 'Lessons in Love' after a design by Michel Victor Acier, with various figures grouped around a cherub reading a book. Crossed Swords Mark to the base (possible cancelled marks) and impressed F74, various damages and restoration. 30cms high. *CR Cherub, hands and wing restored and to the lower section of the figure, back of column has been restored, hat of lady restored, foot and arms restored of the same figure, arms, hands and feet of children - various restoration, book - writing almost worn away, figures at the back - restoration to hands, large lady figure - foot restored, various chips to leaves and flowers.
Underneath, small crack from the firing hole across the Meissen mark, couple of marks possibly cancellation marks, restoration to the base rim in places and side of base.
