A VERY LARGE EARLY 20TH CENTURY SILVER RATS TAIL SERVING SPOON, with good clear hallmarks; Sheffield, date letter ‘v’ for 1913, maker’s mark of W & S for West & Son – who were actually based in Dublin, Ireland. Also stamped West & Son as retailer mark on the stem. The tip engraved with the Haughton family surname crest of a Bull’s Head Sa., Armed Arg., Charged on The Neck with Three Bars of the Last. Dimensions: 31.5cm long, Weight: 6 Troy Ounces. Condition: excellent.
