More Information

The picture is framed under glass and has not been removed for inspection. The paint surface shows no obvious damage. The colours are reasonably strong and bright, but are likely to have faded somewhat over time. The painting is mounted on a backing sheet which shows foxing, age related darkening, and a slight ripple across the surface. The paper of the painting follows this ripple. The frame is structurally sound but shows wear including scuffs and scratching to the gilt finish.

PLEASE NOTE: The two oil paintings shown with this watercolour in the final photo are NOT part of this lot.
