A RUSSIAN 1826 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICERS SABRE. With a 70cm curved fullered blade with pointed end, the brass hilt with single knuckle bow with cast foliate and Empire style decoration, with a black leather covered grip with wire binding, the oval stepped pommel with conforming cast leaf decoration. 83cm overall. See Russian Sidearms, Polearms & Bayonets by A.N. Kulinsky 2001, p126 No.45 for an example of this sword. *CR blade slightly pitted in places, lacking scabbard and handle slightly loose on blade. Otherwise a nice example.
