ENGLISH 1737 DATED SEAL MALLET WINE BOTTLE. (Burton Vol II, p 660, bottle style and whereabouts unknown). 9.2ins tall, black/ dark green glass. A very characterful long necked English mallet sealed R Threxton/ 1737. Super long neck, left striation, sharp pointy edged string rim (some damage - see easylive close up), classic mallet body shape, thick base section, deep kick up, rough pontil. Stable neck crack. Ex Maurice Collins Collection.
