Militaria: A World War I and World War II joint family group of medals and order badges. Comprising the Order of the Bath Companions’ badge (C.B. - Military), circa 1915, The Egyptian Order of the Nile badge, the Order of the British Empire badge (Purple and scarlet riband - military division), circa 1919, The 1914-15 Star, The British War medal and The Victory Medal 1914-18 awarded to Brigadier General Ernest Moncreiff Paul (Stewart Of Coll C.B., C.B.E. 1864 - 1942) together with a group of five medals, The 1914-15 Star, The British War medal, The Victory Medal 1914-18 with mentioned in dispatches oak leaf, The Defence Medal 1939-45 and The War Medal 1939-45 awarded to Captain G.A.M. Paul (Royal Navy - 1895 - 1978). Mounted and framed. Provenance: Acquired by the current owner by direct descent through the Paul family. Frame by Spink & Son Limited: 38.3 cm x 43.2 cm.
Condition report: Some age related wear as illustrated. The Victory Medals incorrectly mounted (son on upper tier/father on lower tier).
