George II (1727-60), Sixpence, 1739, O over R in GEORGIVS, young laureate and draped bust left, legend surrounding GEORGIVS. II DEI. GRATIA, Rev, crowned cruciform emblematic shields, roses in angles, reads M.B.F.ET.H.REX.F.D.B. ET.L.D.S.R.I.A.T.ET.E garter star at centre, date above (S.3708; Bull.1750; ESC.1612A). The variety rare, light toning with much of the original mint bloom visible. Very fine.
