A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR TO THE WORCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 31432 PTE G. Uglow Worc. R. George Henry Uglow was born to Emma and George on the 1st of August 1891 at Windsor. He enlisted in Bristol and joined the 2nd Battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment. He received the wounds from which he died on the 9th August 1916. He is buried at Millencourt Communal Cemetery Extension, grave 12, row C, his headstone reads 'To live in the hearts of those they leave behind is not to die'. With copied birth certificate and research. *CR Both with ribbons. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
