Royal Naval Air Service pioneer interest scrapbook relating to Robert Peel Ross RN/RNAS/RAF including MID Certificate to Flight Commander RNAS dated 19/2/15, this for his part as a pilot in the Cuxhaven Raid on Xmas Day 1914. With Civil Service exams, letters to his father from various senior RN officers about his son's progress, , photos in uniform, photos and reports from HMS Britannia, 1904 appointment letter to HMS Cornwallis, telegrams, postcards and photos of ships served on, HMS Lundy stuck on rocks, original art work, letters etc, mostly from 1902 -08 period, pages have become tatty and some are loose. He went on to be an early RNAS pioneer, was awarded DSO 1/10/17, AFC 3/6/19, promoted Air Commodore 1/1/31. (½B)
