Gerrit Bramer of Amsterdam. An 18th century Dutch marquetry inlaid walnut eight day longcase clock, with moulded pediment and arched brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, date aperture, moonphase, subsidiary seconds and alarum ring, set with silvered spandrels depicting the seasons, the trunk with cartouche shaped lenticle and box base, 55cm wide, 226cm high
Overall looks to be in fair to good condition with a rich dark toffee brown tone throughout, some cracking through the moulding around the top of the hood with some losses to the right side, some losses to the fret work front top left, dial looks original albeit somewhat oxidised, five pillar movement with anchor escapement in good clean condition although not tested for running, trunk door with original lock and working key, small cracks and splits to the trunk, box base with some separation at the joints together with more notable horizontal splits and small losses and dents to the veneers, comes with two cast iron weights, two winding keys, brass mounted pendulum and a bag containing some of the loose sections and veneers.
