£190
Early 20th century Chinese embroidery, to include a single silk sleeve band, unused, worked in pastels with some dark blue highlights, showing figures at leisure in the garden, some holding fans; a panel of cream silk, embroidered in coloured silks, mainly pastels, with a stylized tree and blossom, complemented by larger flowers, attracting a bird in flight, the plumage being defined with a variety of stitches approx. 65 cm by 61cm; together with a beaded and embroidered purse, possibly Straits Chinese, the front panel with stitched border containing beadwork designs, the inside in three sections, one being underneath the front flap; and a more modern small tablemat embroidered in couched gold thread and blue silk (4)
Mostly in good order. The plain edges of the sleeve band are very foxed, but the central panel has only minor marks near the bottom.
