Two bottled ship models A remarkably detailed model ship in a bottle – a three-masted barque with a full set of sails, the foremast showing a ‘house’ or company flag, a red-ensign on the gaff. Models so detailed and complete are seldom found inside bottles, and the craftsman has even decorated the screw seal with a Turks-head knot. Maker not known; With a model sailing cutter in a bottle, 2x masts with two sails set, and a stern boom, but no bowsprit – maker unknown – 20cm x 12cm. The screw cap is wound with a ‘cod-line’ terminated with a red seal. (2)
