A VERY GOOD & LARGE 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY TWO-PART LINEN PRESS SECRETAIRE CHEST, to the top a pair of beautiful mahogany doors open to reveal four sliding shelves and a brass hanging rail to the top. The base with a fall front secretaire drawer; which when pulled out creates a writing desk – topped with green tooled leather surface and to the back a series of drawers & compartments. Beneath are three graduated drawers. With brass fittings throughout, and raised on splayed regency leg. A very fine piece of antique furniture, that is multifunctional. Over all condition is very good – it does need some care to the surface in places/veneers are damaged in a couple of spots. However, once given some minor restoration it would be a fantastic addition to any home. Dimensions: 234cm tall.
