A late 18th century brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss pistol, 13¾” overall, slightly swamped barrel 8½” with beaded baluster at breech and early B’ham proofs; slightly rounded lock with unbridled frizzen, engraved with simple scrolls and signed “Turner” at a later date; walnut fullstock with shell carving around the breech tang, and brass mounts including domed buttcap, flower engraved trigger guard with acorn finial, engraved openwork ribbon sideplate, and with horn tipped ramrod.
