A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 2735, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 19D 4-8-2 built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns, Works No 7248, in 1946. A versatile type of locomotive, the 19Ds were one of the last steam classes to see regular service in South Africa. Cast brass, 20½"x14¼", in ex loco condition.
