AN ITALIAN WALNUT CUPBOARD, having a flared and dentil cornice above a deep frieze and two iron grill doors in a design of florets and scrollwork, flanked by stop-fluted pilasters to either side, the shelved interior lined in red velvet, the lower section having a frieze drawer and two indented panel doors below, flanked by conforming pilasters, the iron loop handles with gargoyle masks, on breakfront plinth base, perhaps Tuscany, basically 17th/18th century, 110cm wide x 40cm deep x 187cm high.
Provenance: Previously on loan to the National Trust at Nunnington Hall
Heavily wormed.
Sliver missing to centre of cornice frieze.
Replaced mouldings to top left and right beneath upper section.
Tatty with wear commensurate with age.
