Alakazam has an IQ that exceeds 5,000, do you think it knows how much this auction will end at?This card has been authenticated and graded by CGC and awarded a Near Mint 8.Grading report: A card graded 8 must have relatively smooth edges with only minor touches of wear. It must have original color borders and gloss. One of the following very minor flaws is allowed: corners are sharp to the naked eye but reveal slight imperfections under magnification; a small amount of minor print spots; subtle focus imperfections of the image. A very slight diamond cut is allowed. TCG cards could have small-to-moderate handling defects. For sports and non-sports cards, centering must be 65/35 or better.About this card: The Original Base Set went through a number of variations and printings through 1999 and not all of them are widely known.The first iteration is known as 1st Edition Shadowless. This variation is distinct from the others on two grounds: 1) The 1st edition circular stamp on the left-hand side of the card is clearly visible, and 2) A shadowless card has a different colour pallet than its unlimited counterpart. The official terminology is what?s known as missing the ?drop shadow? on the card, specifically around the art box but the best way to describe it is it kind of looks like the entire card is sun damaged/bleach.
