Tolkien: 'The Adventures of Tom Bombadil', London, George Allen & Unwin, 1962, 1st edition, illustrations by Pauline Baynes, internally leaves with no previous owner names or inscriptions, clean/VGC, original pictorial paper covered boards (very slightly worn at top edge, else near fine), dust wrapper (neatly price clipped, some very light spotting/foxing, else near fine). An excellent first edition copy of this collection of poetry by J.R.R. Tolkien, very difficult to find in such condition which. Like the first edition of The Fellowship of the Ring, it is presented as if it is an actual translation from the Red Book of Westmarch, and contains some background information on the world of Middle-earth that is not found elsewhere
