Ogden's (1938) - a piece of highly detailed mixed media artwork created for the 'Edith Evans' number 10 card in the set of 50 cigarette card series 'Actors Natural and Character Studies', issued by Ogden's branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co. Ltd. in 1938. Believed to be completed by artists who worked for Mardon Son & Hall Ltd Bristol. Mounted. Measuring approximately 21 cm x 15 cm, including the mount.
Dame Edith Mary Evans, DBE (8 February 1888 – 14 October 1976) was an English actress. She was best known for her work on the stage, but also appeared in films at the beginning and towards the end of her career. Between 1964 and 1968, she was nominated for three Academy Awards.
