An Islamic Silver Bowl with Fish and Floral Motifs, Iran or Afghanistan, 4th Century A.D.
The bowl features a gently rounded form with a subtly flared rim, decorated on the exterior with alternating floral arabesques and arabic inscriptions in a rhythmic frieze just beneath the lip. The interior presents a stylized central rosette surrounded by a circular arrangement of incised fish.
