A SECOND WORLD WAR GERMAN IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS. A German Iron Cross dated 1939, on a short length of ribbon. According to an attached note 'This iron Cross was picked up by Corporal Bill Wareing on 6th June 1944 during the Allied 'D' day landings in France, from a Nazi machine gun post *Condition: Slight markings to surfaces.
