A 5 shot 54 bore 1851 Adams self cocking percussion revolver with 1854 “improved” frame, safety bolt and arbor latch, 12” overall, barrel 6¼”, the top flat engraved “DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, No 30 KING WILLIAM ST, LONDON BRIDGE”, London proved, the barrel and frame line engraved, the frame with scrolls and “ADAMS’ PATENT No 15202R”, the cylinder also engraved “No 15202R”, with chequered walnut butt and engraved butt cap with hinged trap. Near VGWO&C, retaining 90% of original finish; in its purple velvet lined fitted oak case, with circular brass lid escutcheon, containing 1851 Registered Adams double cavity 54 bore bronze bullet mould, Dixon copper powder flask (much original lacquer, spring AF), nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, cleaning rod, and pewter oil bottle.
