Stevens began these Lectures in 1764 in London, thereafter touring the larger provincial cities including Manchester, Bristol, and Bath in the same year. Later, after 1765, he made further provincial tours, although only two (both undated) provincial Broadsides are recorded for his performances, at Kendal and at Norwhich, these only known in one copy each. Unfortunatley, the present issue without an imprint, but its value is contained in its MS. comment for this very early performance at the 'Market House [Theatre] Penzance'.
